Job summary

United Launch Alliance (ULA) invites motivated students to join a 10-week summer internship in a hands-on engineering environment. You will work with mentors, perform analysis on flight hardware, and gain exposure to systems engineering and launch operations across Decatur, AL; Cape Canaveral, FL; and Denver, CO.

Applicants should be actively pursuing a STEM bachelor's degree, able to enroll in Fall 2027, and commit full-time for the internship period.

Qualifications

• Must have a minimum college GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale at the time of application; unofficial transcript required if interviewed.
• Must have a valid driver's license and motorized vehicle transportation if assigned an internship in Alabama; California; Florida; or Pueblo, Colorado.

Responsibilities

• Analyze existing flight hardware and perform analysis for both completed and future launches; gain exposure to systems engineering, mission integration, QA, system safety, launch ops, or production ops.
• Conduct causal analysis for non-conformances and contribute to data analysis and methodology improvement projects.
• Assist with software improvement projects, manufacturing studies, and root cause actions for non-conformances; maintain production work instructions and testing of components/systems.
• Internships may require travel to suppliers.
• Support experienced engineers and shadow operations to learn day-to-day engineering activities.
