Job summary

United Launch Alliance invites qualified engineering students to join our Material and Process Engineering Internship for Summer 2027 in Centennial, CO (also at other ULA locations). You will work with engineers on materials, processes, and test activities supporting launch vehicle programs.

The role requires pursuing a bachelor’s degree in a STEM field, a minimum 3.0 GPA, and availability for at least 10 weeks during Summer 2027. A valid driver’s license is required for certain sites.

Qualifications

• Minimum college GPA of 3.00 on a 4.00 scale at application.
• Must have valid driver’s license and vehicle if internship in AL/CA/FL or Pueblo, CO; for Denver and DC driving recommended.

Responsibilities

• Support materials selection, characterization, and qualification of components.
• Assist in developing and reviewing material, process, and manufacturing specs.
• Analyze test data and prepare technical reports and documentation.
• Research industry standards, material properties, and literature.
• Participate in design reviews, lab activities, and hardware reviews.
