Job summary

United Launch Alliance (ULA) seeks an Material and Process Engineering Intern to join our team in 2027 for hands-on work with launch vehicle parts, materials, and processes. You will work with engineers to support material selection, testing, and documentation across Denver, Pueblo, Cape Canaveral, and Decatur locations.

This internship requires actively pursuing a STEM bachelor's degree, a minimum 3.0 GPA, and the ability to commit full-time for 10 weeks during Summer 2027.

Qualifications

  • Must have 3.00 GPA on a 4.00 scale at time of application; unofficial transcript required if invited for interview.
  • Valid driver’s license; motorized transport recommended for certain locations.

Responsibilities

  • Support materials selection, characterization, and qualification of metallic, polymer, composite, and additively manufactured components.
  • Assist in developing and improving material, process, and manufacturing specifications.
  • Support materials testing and analyze test data; prepare technical reports and documentation.
  • Participate in design reviews, lab activities, and hardware reviews.
  • Help maintain engineering documentation, databases, and material/process requirements.
