Job summary

MasTec Power Delivery seeks a Material Coordinator/Expeditor to drive timely delivery of materials to transmission line construction sites. You will manage scheduling, loading verification, and IMS/GPS-based tracking while coordinating with foremen and vendors.

Strong Excel and communication skills are essential for success. The role requires a technical understanding of materials used in substation and transmission projects and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Experience as a construction expeditor or material coordinator in a procurement/supply chain setting.
• Ability to understand technical specifications of materials used in Transmission/Substation construction.
• Strong written and verbal communication and negotiation skills.
• Organized with attention to detail in multitask environments.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate movement of materials from suppliers to construction sites and maintain schedules.
• Document deliveries, verify loads against BOL, and photograph items for records.
• Create and track OSDs (Overages, Shortages, Damaged Items) with vendors.
• Store materials correctly in laydown yard sections using IMS GPS data.
• Create and print barcodes/QR codes and manage barcoding processes.
• Work with foremen to kit items and manage inventory checks in IMS.
• Issue tickets for owner or contractor-supplied materials with proper GPS locations.
• Maintain IMS system updates for new POs and vendor quotes/drawings.
