Job summary

Forbes Bros. Group of Companies in the United States (North Central Region) is seeking a Material Coordinator to support on-site materials coordination for a large transmission construction project.

You will manage material receipt, storage, staging, tracking, and delivery to active fronts, coordinating with Construction, Project, and Quality teams. This site-based role uses SCM systems to ensure traceability and timely deliveries, with a six-on, one-off rotation and twelve-hour days.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required; certificate or diploma in Materials Management, Supply Chain, or related discipline is asset.
• 3–5 years of experience in materials coordination, logistics, or supply chain roles supporting construction or infrastructure projects.
• Experience with large-scale linear infrastructure projects (transmission lines, substations) preferred.
• Familiarity with laydown management, field logistics environments.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate receipt, handling, storage, and distribution of project materials across multiple laydown yards and assembly areas.
• Support material staging and sequencing to align with construction schedules and structure installation plans.
• Coordinate delivery of materials to active work fronts with field supervision and construction coordinators.
• Monitor material availability and identify shortages, misallocations, or delivery conflicts that may impact execution.
