Job summary

POET is seeking a Material Handler for our Fairmont, NE facility to load dried distillers’ grains, ethanol, corn oil, and other products into trucks and rail cars. The role uses meters, scales, and software to ensure safety and timely delivery.

Responsibilities include equipment operation, grade testing of grain/biomass, and maintaining a clean work area. It’s an on-site position with safety and compliance expectations and potential DOT-related tasks.

Qualifications

• Experience and knowledge in operating heavy machinery and loading equipment.
• Experience in truck loading/unloading, including rail tank car and tanker truck preferred.
• DOT certification preferred.
• Knowledge of the basics of Microsoft Office Suite and the ability to learn new programs.

Responsibilities

• Load trucks and rail cars with feed and fuel products to ensure timely delivery.
• Assist with grain product or biomass unloading functions.
• Complete grading of grain products or biomass using provided training.
• Operate large machinery and equipment; may require DOT certification.
