Job summary

POET is seeking a Material Handler to load and unload products such as dried distillers’ grains, ethanol, corn oil, and biomass at its Leipsic, OH facility. You will operate heavy equipment, use scales and meters, and may grade grain products or biomass after training.

Responsibilities include timely loading, unloading, maintaining safety, completing DOT-related paperwork, and supporting maintenance tasks. Candidates should be reliable, safety-conscious, and capable of outdoor work on weekends

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience operating heavy machinery or similar equipment preferred.
• Experience loading/unloading trucks and rail/tank cars preferred.
• DOT certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Load trucks and rail cars with feed and fuel products to ensure timely delivery.
• Assist with unloading and handling grain products or biomass.
• Complete grading of grain products or biomass using provided training.
• Operate large machinery and equipment; may need DOT certification.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area and follow safety procedures.
• Enter data and paperwork as required, including HAZMAT when necessary.
