Job summary

POET in Shell Rock, IA is seeking a Material Handler to load dried distillers grains, ethanol, corn oil, and biomass into trucks and rail cars. The role requires operating heavy machinery, following safety protocols, and ensuring timely deliveries.

The position is on-site with a 12-hour shift rotation (days, 3-2-2-3) and requires ability to work weekends and holidays. DOT certification may be needed, and training is provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience with heavy machinery and loading/unloading preferred.
• DOT certification preferred; basic MS Office skills.

Responsibilities

• Load trucks and rail cars with feed and fuel products using mechanical equipment.
• Assist with grain product or biomass unloading and grading as trained.
• Operate equipment and perform preventative maintenance as directed.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area and follow safety procedures.
