Job summary

POET in Fairmont, NE seeks a Material Handler to load distillers' grains, ethanol, corn oil, and biomass into trucks and rail cars. The role uses scales, meters, and computers to ensure timely delivery and product safety on-site in Fairmont, Nebraska.

Responsibilities include loading, unloading, grading when trained, operating heavy equipment, and maintaining a safe, clean work environment. Occasional long hours and weekend shifts are required; DOT certification may be needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience operating heavy machinery and loading equipment preferred.
• DOT certification preferred.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn new programs.

Responsibilities

• Load trucks and rail cars with feed and fuel products using mechanical equipment.
• Assist with grain product or biomass unloading functions.
• Complete grading of grain products or biomass with training.
• Operate large machinery and equipment; may require DOT certification.
• Maintain clean work area and follow safety procedures.
