Job summary

POET in Fairmont, NE is seeking a Material Handler to load dried distillers' grains, ethanol, corn oil, and other products. The role uses mechanical equipment, meters, scales, and computers to ensure timely delivery and product safety.

Responsibilities include loading, unloading, and grading grain or biomass as trained, operating heavy machinery, and maintaining safety and equipment. This on-site role requires flexibility for extended hours, weekends, and weather conditions.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Material Handler I: No experience required.
• Material Handler II: Documented successful performance as a Material Handler I or equivalent work experience required.

Responsibilities

• Load trucks and rail cars with feed and fuel products at POET facilities to ensure timely delivery.
• Assist with grain product or biomass loading/unloading functions.
• Complete grading of grain products or biomass using provided training.
• Operates large machinery and equipment; may require DOT certification.
• Maintain a clean work area and adhere to safety procedures.
