Job summary

POET is hiring a Material Handler to load dried distillers grains, ethanol, corn oil, wet cake feed, and biomass into trucks and rail cars at an on-site facility. You will use mechanical equipment, meters, scales and computer software to ensure timely delivery and product safety.

Training may lead to grain grading tasks and DOT certification readiness. You must be able to work outdoors, weekends and holidays, and pass a pre-employment drug screen.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience and knowledge in heavy machinery operation preferred.
• DOT certification preferred.
• Microsoft Office Suite knowledge and ability to learn new programs.

Responsibilities

• Load trucks and rail cars with feed and fuel products using mechanical equipment, meters and scales.
• Assist with grain product or biomass unloading functions.
• Complete grading of grain products or biomass.
• Operate large machinery and equipment; may require DOT certification.
• Maintain a clean work area and assist with preventive maintenance.
