Job summary

POET in Michigan is seeking a Material Handler to load dried distillers' grains, ethanol, corn oil, and other products into trucks and rail cars. You will work with scales, meters, and software applications, and may assist with grading and maintenance tasks in a fast-paced bioprocessing setting.

Responsibilities

• Load trucks and rail cars with feed and fuel products using machinery, meters and scales.
• Assist with grain product or biomass unloading and loading functions as needed.
• Complete grading of grain products or biomass using training provided.
• Operate large machinery and equipment; DOT certification may be required.
• Maintain a clean work area and follow confined space procedures.
• Enter bins and complete HAZMAT paperwork when necessary.
• Learn and operate processes in the grains operation; perform maintenance as directed.
• Be available to work outdoors, weekends and holidays; meet call-in requirements.
