Job summary

Generac is seeking a seasoned Materials Flow Manager to design end-to-end material flow strategies across manufacturing and distribution. You will lead lean initiatives, optimize inventory and throughput, and partner across functions to drive operational excellence and cash flow improvement in a discrete manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Supply Chain, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 10 years of progressive supply chain experience.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in material control systems and processes.
• Minimum 5 years of Lean material and information flow experience in a discrete manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute material flow strategies that support production and distribution requirements.
• Design and implement a comprehensive 4-wall PFEP (Plan for Every Part) for storage, movement and presentation.
• Oversee end-to-end material flow from inbound materials to outbound finished goods shipping.
• Design and implement raw material supermarkets, delivery routes, and standardized material presentation.
• Define and implement efficient material presentation methods to boost operator productivity.
• Develop and deploy WIP Optimizers and pull-based scheduling between Assembly and Sub-Assembly.
• Define and implement KPIs using MDI and visual management for throughput and cash flow.
• Oversee inventory movement processes and adherence to inventory guidelines.
