Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking a Materials Flow Manager to oversee end-to-end material movement across two facilities, coordinating inbound receiving, production line supply, and outbound logistics to minimize inventory costs and maximize efficiency.

You will lead lean initiatives, implement Kanban and JIT, manage inventory controls, and partner with Purchasing to reduce carrying costs while sustaining service levels; a strong track record in supply chain leadership is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in supply chain, logistics, industrial engineering or related field; equivalent experience accepted.
• 5-10+ years in materials management, logistics, or supply chain operations.
• 2+ years of leadership or supervisory experience.
• Proficiency in ERP systems (AS400 preferred) and MS Office suite.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and continuously improve material flow processes across facilities.
• Ensure efficient movement of raw materials, WIP, and finished goods.
• Apply lean principles to optimize inventory levels to production needs.
• Drive takt time adherence in production.
• Coordinate with Purchasing to reduce carrying costs while maintaining service levels.
• Collaborate with production, planning, and scheduling to ensure material availability.
• Lead continuous improvement projects focused on flow, efficiency, and waste reduction.
• Oversee storage and internal distribution of materials.
