Job summary

Actalent seeks a Material Flow Engineer to optimize warehousing and material flow in a high-rate, data-driven environment on a defined-term contract. You will partner with Supply Chain, Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing and Business Operations to design and refine processes that keep production healthy, efficient, and scalable.

Responsibilities include scaling programs from development to full-rate production, leading time studies, managing KPIs, and implementing Lean practices with hands-on

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field.
• 3+ years in high-rate supply chain/manufacturing with data utilization.
• Hands-on experience in supply chain, logistics, and material flow.
• Strong CAD reading and interpretation skills.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD as core design tool.
• Experience with NX and Teamcenter or similar PDM tools.
• Ability to read technical drawings and know hardware manufacturing for electronics.
• Experience specifying and procuring equipment, and writing RFPs with vendors.
• Ability to travel up to 25%.
• Onsite work in Columbus, OH for full duration of contract.
• Lean manufacturing implementation and hands-on process improvements.
• Experience with SQL databases for tracking production/inventory.

Responsibilities

• Scale material flow and warehousing solutions from development to full-rate production.
• Identify bottlenecks and drive resolution with stakeholders.
• Own KPIs and reporting on production line health and efficiency.
• Conduct time studies to inform continuous improvement initiatives.
• Optimize labor and material flow across multiple sites.
• Translate dashboards into actionable tasks for warehouse operations.
• Develop tools for demand forecasting and capacity planning.
• Specify and implement material handling equipment with vendors.
