Job summary

The Hillman Group in Minnesota is seeking a Material Handler to move materials and finished products using powered equipment. Schedule 7:00 am - 3:30 pm, Monday through Friday. Hourly pay is $20.00.

forklift certification is required, and pallet jacks, order pickers, and RF scanners are used daily. Responsibilities include loading/unloading trucks, receiving materials, stocking, replenishment, and maintaining accurate product placement.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required or equivalent experience.
• Material handling experience is strongly preferred.
• Forklift certification is required.
• Familiarity with part numbering systems is a plus.
• Able to operate a pallet jack, forklift and order picker.

Responsibilities

• Operates a variety of powered, industrial equipment
• Picks-up incoming materials from the Receiving dock
• Loads and unloads trucks
• Transfers finished products to designated areas
• Provides replenishment materials to workstations in a timely manner
• Pulls and stocks correct product to boxes and pick locations
• Stacks empty skids and pallets in designated areas
• Operates a manual and/or motorized pallet jack

Job Summary

Supports Operations by moving materials and finished products to designated areas in the facility with a variety of powered industrial equipment.

Essential Job Functions *

• Operates a variety of powered, industrial equipment
• Loads and unloads trucks
• Ability to use a hand scanner
• Picks-up incoming materials from the Receiving dock
• Unloads and puts away stock in the Bulk storage area
• Provides replenishment materials to workstations in a timely manner
• Pulls and stocks correct product to appropriate boxes and pick locations
• Transfers finished products to designated areas
• Stacks empty skids and pallets in designated areas
• Operates a manual and/or motorized pallet jack
• Uses knowledge and experience to resolve basic operating problems; reports other problems to manger

Education & Experience

Work Environment and Physical Demands

Work Environment

Material Handler Must be forklift operation certified. Standing on concrete floors up to 8 hrs/day. Exposure to loud noise. Functional vision and hearing required.

Material Handler Medium - Heavy, lifting up to 70 lbs.
