Job summary

Colonial Group in Cincinnati is seeking a Materials Handler to move and stock materials and finished products throughout the facility. You will use a hand scanner, unload and store stock, and ensure timely replenishment to workstations.

The role emphasizes safety, following instructions, and operating pallet jacks or forklifts. Standing on concrete floors, lifting up to 70 lbs, and adhering to site procedures are part of daily work.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED equivalent required.
• Able to work accurately from verbal and written instructions.
• Familiarity with part numbering systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Uses a hand scanner to process materials.
• Picks up incoming materials from the Receiving dock.
• Unloads and stores stock in the Bulk storage area.
• Provides replenishment materials to workstations in a timely manner.
• Pulls and stocks correct product to boxes and pick locations.
• Transfers finished products to designated areas.
• Stacks empty skids and pallets in designated areas.
• Operates a manual and/or motorized pallet jack.
• Reports problems to management when issues arise.

Job description

Pay: $16.25/hour

Schedule: Monday through Friday - 5:30 AM to 2:00 PM

Overtime Schedule: Monday through Saturday - 4:30 AM to 2:00 PM

Job Summary

• Provides replenishment materials to workstations in a timely manner
• Pulls and stocks correct product to appropriate boxes and pick locations
• Transfers finished products to designated areas
• Stacks empty skids and pallets in designated areas
• Operates a manual and/or motorized pallet jack
• Uses knowledge and experience to resolve basic operating problems; reports other problems to manger

Education & Experience

• High School diploma or GED equivalent required, or equivalent combination of education and experience

Competencies – Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Familiarity with part numbering systems is a plus.
• Able to operate a pallet jack, forklift, order picker and Drexel.
• Able to work accurately from verbal and written instructions.

• Hand-held RF Scanner, manual/motorized pallet jack

Work Environment

Material Handler: Must be forklift operation certified. Standing on concrete floors up to 8 hrs/day. Exposure to loud noise. Functional vision and hearing required.

Material Handler: Medium - Heavy, lifting up to 70 lbs.
