Job summary

Hillman Group in Minnesota is seeking a Material Handler to support Operations by moving materials and finished products to designated areas in the facility using powered industrial equipment.

Schedule: 7:00 am - 3:30 pm (Mon–Fri). Hourly pay: $20.00. Responsibilities include operating pallet jacks, forklifts, order pickers, loading/unloading trucks, using an RF scanner, stocking bulk storage, replenishing workstations, and reporting issues to management. Education: High School diploma or GED.

Qualifications

• Material handling experience is strongly preferred.
• Forklift Certification required.
• Familiarity with part numbering systems is a plus.
• Able to operate a pallet jack, forklift, and order picker.
• Able to work accurately from verbal and written instructions.

Responsibilities

• Operates a variety of powered, industrial equipment.
• Loads and unloads trucks.
• Ability to use a hand scanner.
• Picks-up incoming materials from the Receiving dock.
• Unloads and puts away stock in the Bulk storage area.
• Provides replenishment materials to workstations in a timely manner.
• Pulls and stocks correct product to appropriate boxes and pick locations.
• Transfers finished products to designated areas.
• Stacks empty skids and pallets in designated areas.
• Operates a manual and/or motorized pallet jack.
• Uses knowledge and experience to resolve basic operating problems; reports other problems to manager.

Work Environment

Material Handler: Must be forklift operation certified. Standing on concrete floors up to 8 hrs/day. Exposure to loud noise. Functional vision and hearing required.

Material Handler: Medium - Heavy, lifting up to 70 lbs.
