Job summary

The Hillman Group is seeking a Material Handler to operate powered industrial equipment, move materials and finished products, and support receiving and shipping in a fast-paced facility. Schedule 6:30 am - 4:00 pm, Monday–Friday, with hourly pay of $20.00.

Forklift certification and safety focus are required. You will load and unload trucks, use a hand scanner, stock the Bulk storage area, and provide replenishment to workstations.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required or equivalent experience.
• Forklift certification required.
• Experience with material handling preferred.

Responsibilities

Essential Job Functions *

• Operates a variety of powered, industrial equipment
• Loads and unloads trucks
• Ability to use a hand scanner
• Picks-up incoming materials from the Receiving dock
• Unloads and puts away stock in the Bulk storage area
• Provides replenishment materials to workstations in a timely manner
• Pulls and stocks correct product to appropriate boxes and pick locations
• Transfers finished products to designated areas
• Stacks empty skids and pallets in designated areas
• Operates a manual and/or motorized pallet jack
• Uses knowledge and experience to resolve basic operating problems; reports other problems to manger

Education & Experience

• High School diploma or GED equivalent required, or equivalent combination of education and experience

Competencies – Knowledge, Skills And Abilities

• Material handling experience is strongly preferred.
• Forklift Certification required.
• Familiarity with part numbering systems is a plus.
• Able to operate a pallet jack, forklift, order picker and Drexel.
• Able to work accurately from verbal and written instructions.

Work Environment and Physical Demands

Work Environment

Material Handler Must be forklift operation certified. Standing on concrete floors up to 8 hrs/day. Exposure to loud noise. Functional vision and hearing required.

Material Handler Medium - Heavy, lifting up to 70 lbs.
