Job summary

Hillman Group in Kentucky is seeking a Material Handler to move materials and finished products with a range of powered equipment in a fast-paced manufacturing/distribution environment.

You will load/unload trucks, use a hand scanner, stock bulk storage, replenish workstations, and transfer finished goods to designated areas. A forklift certification is required, and the schedule is 6:30 am–4:00 pm, Monday to Friday, with an hourly rate of $20.00.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED equivalent required, or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Forklift Certification required
• Familiarity with part numbering systems is a plus
• Able to operate a pallet jack, forklift, order picker and Drexel
• Able to work accurately from verbal and written instructions

Responsibilities

• Operates a variety of powered, industrial equipment
• Loads and unloads trucks
• Ability to use a hand scanner
• Picks-up incoming materials from the Receiving dock
• Unloads and puts away stock in the Bulk storage area
• Provides replenishment materials to workstations in a timely manner
• Pulls and stocks correct product to appropriate boxes and pick locations
• Transfers finished products to designated areas
• Stacks empty skids and pallets in designated areas
• Operates a manual and/or motorized pallet jack
• Uses knowledge and experience to resolve basic operating problems; reports other problems to manger

Schedule: 6:30 am - 4:00 pm (Monday - Friday)

Work Environment and Physical Demands

Work Environment

Material Handler: Must be forklift operation certified. Standing on concrete floors up to 8 hrs/day. Exposure to loud noise. Functional vision and hearing required.

Physical Demands

Material Handler: Medium - Heavy, lifting up to 70 lbs.
