Job summary

Colonial Group is seeking a Material Handler to support operations by moving materials and finished products using powered equipment. The role runs on a 6:30 am–4:00 pm schedule from Monday to Friday, with hourly pay of $20.

The position requires forklift certification and material handling experience, plus the ability to operate pallet jacks, order pickers, and RF scanners. Responsibilities include loading/unloading, stocking, replenishing workstations, and ensuring correct inventory placement.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required or equivalent experience.
• Forklift certification required.
• Material handling experience preferred.
• Able to operate pallet jack, forklift, order picker, and Drexel.

Responsibilities

• Operate a variety of powered industrial equipment.
• Load and unload trucks.
• Use a hand scanner.
• Move materials and finished products to designated areas.
• Provide replenishment materials to workstations in a timely manner.
• Stock to correct boxes and pick locations; transfer finished products to designated areas.
• Stack pallets and skids; operate pallet jack as needed.
• Report problems to management.

Job Summary

Supports Operations by moving materials and finished products to designated areas in the facility with a variety of powered industrial equipment.

Schedule: 6:30 am - 4:00 pm (Monday - Friday)

Hourly Pay: $20.00

Essential Job Functions *

• Operates a variety of powered, industrial equipment
• Loads and unloads trucks
• Ability to use a hand scanner
• Picks-up incoming materials from the Receiving dock
• Unloads and puts away stock in the Bulk storage area
• Provides replenishment materials to workstations in a timely manner
• Pulls and stocks correct product to appropriate boxes and pick locations
• Transfers finished products to designated areas
• Stacks empty skids and pallets in designated areas
• Operates a manual and/or motorized pallet jack
• Uses knowledge and experience to resolve basic operating problems; reports other problems to manger

Education & Experience

• High School diploma or GED equivalent required, or equivalent combination of education and experience

Competencies – Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Material handling experience is strongly preferred.
• Forklift Certification required.
• Familiarity with part numbering systems is a plus.
• Able to operate a pallet jack, forklift, order picker and Drexel.
• Able to work accurately from verbal and written instructions.

Work Environment and Physical Demands

Work Environment

Material Handler: Must be forklift operation certified. Standing on concrete floors up to 8 hrs/day. Exposure to loud noise. Functional vision and hearing required.

Material Handler: Medium - Heavy, lifting up to 70 lbs.
