Job summary

The Hillman Group in Lewisville, TX is seeking a Material Handler to support Operations by moving and stocking materials and finished products to designated areas within the facility. You will use a hand scanner, operate a pallet jack and forklift, and ensure timely replenishment to workstations with attention to safety and accuracy.

Responsibilities include unloading at Receiving, stocking Bulk storage, and transferring finished goods while adhering to safety guidelines and reporting any issues

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Forklift operation certification required.
• Ability to operate hand scanner and material handling equipment.
• Able to work accurately from verbal and written instructions.

Essential Job Functions *

• Ability to use a hand scanner
• Picks-up incoming materials from the Receiving dock
• Unloads and puts away stock in the Bulk storage area
• Provides replenishment materials to workstations in a timely manner
• Pulls and stocks correct product to appropriate boxes and pick locations
• Transfers finished products to designated areas
• Stacks empty skids and pallets in designated areas
• Operates a manual and/or motorized pallet jack
• Uses knowledge and experience to resolve basic operating problems; reports other problems to manger

Education & Experience

• High School diploma or GED equivalent required, or equivalent combination of education and experience

• Familiarity with part numbering systems is a plus.
• Able to operate a pallet jack, forklift, order picker and Drexel.
• Able to work accurately from verbal and written instructions.

• Hand-held RF Scanner, manual/motorized pallet jack

Work Environment and Physical Demands

Work Environment

Material Handler Must be forklift operation certified. Standing on concrete floors up to 8 hrs/day. Exposure to loud noise. Functional vision and hearing required.

Physical Demands

Material Handler Medium - Heavy, lifting up to 70 lbs.
