Job summary

Hillman Group in Cincinnati, OH is seeking a Material Handler to support operations by moving materials and finished products using powered industrial equipment.

Responsibilities include loading/unloading, using RF scanners, supplying materials to workstations, stocking, and transferring products to designated areas. Must have forklift certification, be able to lift up to 70 lbs, and maintain safety standards. Schedule: Mon-Fri with overtime.

Responsibilities

• Operates a variety of powered, industrial equipment
• Loads and unloads trucks
• Ability to use a hand scanner
• Picks-up incoming materials from the Receiving dock
• Unloads and puts away stock in the Bulk storage area
• Provides replenishment materials to workstations in a timely manner
• Pulls and stocks correct product to appropriate boxes and pick locations
• Transfers finished products to designated areas
• Stacks empty skids and pallets in designated areas
• Operates a manual and/or motorized pallet jack
• Reports problems to management and ensures safety compliance

Pay: $18.50/hour

Schedule: Monday through Friday - 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM

Overtime Schedule: Monday through Saturday - 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM

Job Summary

• Operates a manual and/or motorized pallet jack
• Uses knowledge and experience to resolve basic operating problems; reports other problems to manger

Education & Experience

• High School diploma or GED equivalent required, or equivalent combination of education and experience

Competencies – Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Material handling experience is strongly preferred.
• Forklift Certification required.
• Familiarity with part numbering systems is a plus.
• Able to operate a pallet jack, forklift, order picker and Drexel.
• Able to work accurately from verbal and written instructions.

Work Environment

Material Handler: Must be forklift operation certified. Standing on concrete floors up to 8 hrs/day. Exposure to loud noise. Functional vision and hearing required.
