Johnstone Supply, a leading HVACR distributor, is hiring a Material Handler I in New Orleans, LA. You will receive, stock, pick, pack, and ship products with attention to accuracy and safety. Use forklifts and RF scanners while maintaining paperwork and inventory control. A strong safety mindset and ability to work in a team are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required. 0–1 year of related experience or training.
• Experience with a picker, forklift, RF scanner, and inventory management systems.
• Knowledge of HVAC wholesale industry is a plus.
• OSHA safety regulations and procedures preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate power equipment (forklift, electric pallet jack) to locate, stock, and move products.
• Receive product by unloading trucks and verify against packing lists.
• Pick, pack, and ship orders, ensuring accuracy and minimal damage.
• Maintain accurate labeling, paperwork, and cycle counts as needed.
• Follow safety rules, maintain a clean work area, and adhere to SOPs.
