Johnstone Supply, a leading HVACR wholesale distributor, is looking for a Material Handler I to join our New Orleans team. You will receive, stock, and ship products, operate forklifts, and help maintain inventory accuracy in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

The role requires basic math, attention to detail, and strong safety practices. Candidates should have a GED or high school diploma, forklift certification, and good communication in English.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; 0–1 year related experience.
• Forklift certification required, or willing to obtain on the job.
• Lift up to 50 pounds and operate safely with PPE and equipment.
• English proficiency required for safety and communication.
• Experience with RF scanners and ERP systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Receive, fill, and ship products accurately and efficiently.
• Operate power equipment to locate, store, and move products.
• Inspect shipments for damage and verify against packing lists.
• Fill orders by picking, packing, and labeling cartons.
• Maintain accurate inventory and assist with cycle counts.
• Follow safety rules and keep work area clean and organized.
• Communicate professionally with customers and coworkers.
• Perform other duties as needed.
