Johnstone Supply is seeking a dependable Material Handler I in Alabama to receive, stock, pick, pack, and ship HVACR products with accuracy and safety. You will operate forklifts, scanners, and ERP systems to keep inventory flowing smoothly and efficiently.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED, forklift certification, and 0–1 year of related experience. A safe, team-focused environment with opportunities for growth and ongoing training awaits.

Qualifications

• Education and/or Experience: High school diploma or GED; 0–1 year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations: Forklift certification required, or willingness to obtain on the job.
• Job Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Ability to read, add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure; work safely; lift heavy items; follow instructions; organize and prioritize; attention to details; work with others; use RF equipment and ERP software; English proficiency is required.

Responsibilities

• Operates power equipment (electric pallet, walkie rider, sit-down forklift) to locate and move products daily.
• Receives product by unloading trucks using forklift, pallet jack, or by hand.
• Ensures shipments are accurate by inspecting freight, verifying quantities, and completing paperwork.
• Ensures products have bar codes and stock numbers; resolves labeling discrepancies; files paperwork.
• Fills orders by picking and packing items, ensuring safe stacking and documentation.
