Job summary

POET in Obion, TN is seeking a Material Handler to load dried distillers' grains, ethanol, corn oil, and other products into trucks and rail cars. The role requires operating heavy machinery, following strict safety protocols, and sometimes obtaining DOT certification.

This is an on-site position in a bioprocessing facility. Responsibilities include loading, unloading, grain/biomass grading, and maintaining equipment and safety records.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Material Handler II requires progression from I or demonstrated experience.
• Experience with heavy machinery is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Load trucks and rail cars with feed and fuel products.
• Assist with grain product or biomass unloading and related duties.
• Operate large machinery and equipment; DOT certification may be required.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area and follow safety procedures.
• Enter bins and complete HAZMAT paperwork when necessary.
• Learn and operate grain process software applications.
