Job summary

The Hillman Group in Cincinnati, OH is seeking a Material Handler to move materials and finished products using powered industrial equipment on a 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM shift. Overtime may be required Monday through Saturday.

Responsibilities include loading/unloading, scanning, stocking, replenishment, and ensuring correct pick locations. Requires forklift certification and ability to operate pallet jacks and related equipment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Material handling experience preferred.
• Forklift certification required.
• Able to operate pallet jack, forklift, order picker and Drexel.

• Operates a variety of powered, industrial equipment.
• Loads and unloads trucks.
• Ability to use a hand scanner.
• Picks-up incoming materials from the Receiving dock.
• Unloads and puts away stock in the Bulk storage area.
• Provides replenishment materials to workstations in a timely manner.
• Pulls and stocks correct product to appropriate boxes and pick locations.
• Transfers finished products to designated areas.
• Stacks empty skids and pallets in designated areas.
• Operates a manual and/or motorized pallet jack.
• Reports basic operating problems to manager.

Job description

Pay: $18.50/hour (plus an additional $1.50 shift differential)

Schedule: Monday through Friday - 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM

Overtime Schedule: Monday through Saturday - 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM

Job Summary

Supports Operations by moving materials and finished products to designated areas in the facility with a variety of powered industrial equipment.

Essential Job Functions *

• Operates a variety of powered, industrial equipment
• Loads and unloads trucks
• Ability to use a hand scanner
• Picks-up incoming materials from the Receiving dock
• Unloads and puts away stock in the Bulk storage area
• Provides replenishment materials to workstations in a timely manner

• Uses knowledge and experience to resolve basic operating problems; reports other problems to manger

• Material handling experience is strongly preferred.
• Forklift Certification required.
• Familiarity with part numbering systems is a plus.
• Able to operate a pallet jack, forklift, order picker and Drexel.
• Able to work accurately from verbal and written instructions.

Work Environment

Material Handler: Must be forklift operation certified. Standing on concrete floors up to 8 hrs/day. Exposure to loud noise. Functional vision and hearing required.
