Job summary

Wabash in Lafayette, IN is looking for a Material Handler to join our production team. You will operate forklifts and other equipment, check, store, disburse, or fill orders for parts and materials, and support safety, quality, and delivery goals.

We provide training for heavy vehicle operation and a full benefits package including medical, dental, vision, 401k with match and tuition reimbursement. This is a full-time, on-site role with opportunities to grow within the company.

Qualifications

• Pre-employment drug screen required.
• Must complete PIV (power industrial vehicle) training.
• Basic reading, writing, math, and verbal skills.
• Basic computer knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Owning and helping improve our performance in Safety, Quality, and Delivery
• Maintaining and reporting daily receiving and shipping activities
• Reporting defects and needs for repairs
• Keeping lines stocked with the proper materials
• Operating Forklifts
• Performing additional work as assigned by the supervisor or coordinator
