Job summary

Wabash is seeking a Material Handler to support our production floor. You will operate or assist with forklifts and other equipment, manage receiving and shipping records, stock materials, and report defects as part of daily duties.

Safety gear is required, and training is provided. The role emphasizes teamwork, efficiency, and adherence to quality standards in a fast-paced manufacturing environment in Indiana.

Qualifications

• High school degree or GED is required.
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen.
• Must be able to pass PIV (power industrial vehicle) training.
• Basic reading, writing, math, & verbal skills.
• Basic computer knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Owning and helping improve our performance in Safety, Quality, and Delivery.
• Maintaining and reporting daily receiving and shipping activities.
• Reporting defects and needs for repairs.
• Keeping lines stocked with the proper materials.
• Performing additional work as assigned by the supervisor or coordinator, which may require the employee to assist in different departments.
• Wearing approved personal protective equipment such as safety shoes, gloves, safety glasses with side shields, respirators, hearing protection, etc.
• Completing assigned duties in accordance with safety, policies, and practices, including your individual safety, as well as the safety of co-workers, and the safe use of equipment in the workplace
