Job summary

Spectra-Tech Manufacturing, Inc. in Batavia, OH is seeking a Material Handler 2 for the 2nd shift. Starting pay is $15.50 per hour, with a $500 hiring/retention bonus and a $100 monthly perfect attendance award.

The role includes stocking materials, cycle counts, pre-kitting for SMT assemblies, counting reels, reconciling parts, and assisting requests in a fast-paced factory environment. Hours are Mon–Thu 3:00pm–1:45am, with potential first-shift training for 3–6 months.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Two years experience in a material handling position.
• Work in a climate controlled manufacturing environment with interaction with others.
• Ability to lift and move materials as needed.

Responsibilities

• Stock all incoming materials in their proper locations.
• Perform scheduled cycle counts and inventories of material.
• Pre-Kit parts for SMT scheduled assemblies.
• Count reels via counting equipment (counting scales and reel counters).
• Reconcile Parts.
• Tape and reel parts as needed via Tape & Reel machine.
• Assist people who need parts or supplies.
• Bake parts per quality department instructions.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Off at NOON every FRIDAY!

Hours: M-Th 3:00pm-1:45am (with the availability to train on 1st shift for 3-6 months)

Starting Pay: $15.50/hour

To serve as a materials resource in all phases of the Parts Cage area.

• Stock all incoming materials in their proper locations.
• Perform scheduled cycle counts and inventories of material.
• Pre-Kit parts for SMT scheduled assemblies.
• Count reels via x-ray machine or reel counter.
• Reconcile Parts.
• Tape and reel parts as needed via Tape & Reel machine.
• Assist people who need parts or supplies.
• Bake parts per quality department instructions.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Education:

High School Diploma or GED

Experience:

Two years experience in a material handling position.

Physical/Cognitive Requirements:

Work is performed in a climate controlled manufacturing environment with frequent contact with others. Job requires prolonged sitting, standing and frequent bending, stooping, and stretching, and lifting of materials.

Waiver:

This position may be filled by an applicant without meeting allqualifications with Ownership Group review and approval.

Equipment:

Knowledge of and skills in the use of counting equipment (counting scales and reel counters) and various component prepping machines.

Work Environment:

Job functions will be performed in & around production, warehouse, and offices.
