Spectra-Tech Manufacturing, Inc. seeks a SMT Machine Operator for the 2nd shift (M-Th, 4:30pm-3:15am) in Batavia, OH. Starting rate is $17.50/hr.

This role operates electromechanical equipment for PCB assembly in a climate-controlled environment. Training provided for the right candidate with electronics experience. Benefits include a $500 bonus hiring/retention, $100 monthly perfect attendance award, and every Friday off.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Two years experience on electromechanical or CNC equipment preferred; Spectra-Tech will train the right candidate.
• Pre-employment background check and drug test.
• Work in a climate-controlled manufacturing environment; prolonged sitting/standing.

Responsibilities

• Operate electromechanical equipment used in assembling electronic circuit boards.
• Setup and verify multiple jobs using computer-generated setup sheets and fixture layout drawings.
• Communicate data, errors, and malfunctions to Quality and machine support.
• Perform light maintenance and cleanup on production equipment.
• Report part shortages before and during production runs.
• Monitor the assembly process and notify team leads to correct defects; demonstrate lead operator abilities.

This position is for 2nd Shift (M-Th, 4:30pm-3:15am)

Starting Rate: $17.50/hr.

Summary:Operator of electromechanical equipment relating to electronic circuit board assembly.

• Operate electromechanical equipment used in the assembling of electronic circuit boards in a manufacturing environment
• Setup and verify multiple jobs using computer generated setup sheets and fixture layout drawings
• Communicate technical data, error data and any malfunctions of the machine to Quality and machine support
• Perform light maintenance and cleanup on production equipment
• Report any part shortages before and during production runs
• Monitor the assembly process and notify machine support to make any corrective action to ensure target defect goals
• Must demonstrate lead operator abilities

Physical/Cognitive Requirements

Work is performed in a manufacturing environment with frequent contact with others. Job requires prolonged sitting, standing and frequent bending, stooping and stretching.

Equipment

Knowledge of and skills in the use of electronic pick and place, wave soldering, water wash, etc.

Work Environment

Job functions will be performed at the machine linesin a climate-controlled manufacturing environment.

This position requires a pre-employment background check and drug test.
