Job summary

Spectra-Tech Manufacturing in Batavia, OH is seeking an SMT Machine Operator to work the 2nd shift (Mon-Thu, 4:30pm-3:15am) operating electromechanical equipment for electronic circuit board assembly.

Starting rate is $17.50/hr with a $500 hiring/retention bonus, a $100 monthly perfect attendance award, and every Friday off. You will set up jobs, verify fixtures, and communicate issues to the team while maintaining safety and quality.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED.
• Experience: Two years on electromechanical or CNC equipment preferred; training available.
• Ability to perform in a manufacturing environment with safety considerations.

Responsibilities

• Operate electromechanical equipment used in assembling electronic circuit boards in a manufacturing environment.
• Set up and verify multiple jobs using setup sheets and fixture drawings.
• Communicate data and malfunctions to Quality and machine support.
• Perform light maintenance and cleanup on production equipment.
• Report part shortages before and during production runs.
• Monitor the process and prompt corrective actions to meet defect goals.
• Demonstrate lead operator abilities.

This position is for 2nd Shift (M-Th, 4:30pm-3:15am)

Starting Rate: $17.50/hr.

Summary:Operator of electromechanical equipment relating to electronic circuit board assembly.

• Operate electromechanical equipment used in the assembling of electronic circuit boards in a manufacturing environment
• Setup and verify multiple jobs using computer generated setup sheets and fixture layout drawings
• Communicate technical data, error data and any malfunctions of the machine to Quality and machine support
• Perform light maintenance and cleanup on production equipment
• Report any part shortages before and during production runs
• Monitor the assembly process and notify machine support to make any corrective action to ensure target defect goals
• Must demonstrate lead operator abilities

Education: High School Diploma or GED

Experience:Two years-experience on electromechanical or CNC type equipment preferred. Spectra-Tech Will train the right candidate who does not have the preferred experience.

Physical/Cognitive Requirements: Work is performed in a manufacturing environment with frequent contact with others. Job requires prolonged sitting, standing and frequent bending, stooping and stretching.

Equipment:Knowledge of and skills in the use of electronic pick and place, wave soldering, water wash, etc.

Work Environment:Job functions will be performed at the machine linesin a climate-controlled manufacturing environment.
