Job summary

Spectra-Tech Manufacturing, Inc. in Batavia, OH, is seeking an Assembler 3/Machine Operator on the 2nd shift. Starting pay is $17.50 per hour, with a $500 hiring/retention bonus and a $100/month attendance bonus.

Fridays off; hours Monday to Thursday, 3:00pm–1:45am. You will perform hand assembly on post-surface mount circuit boards, read values and orientations, follow IPC-A-610 Class 2 standards, and train other assemblers as needed.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED required; Spectra-Tech will train as needed.
• Experience with production assembly is preferred but not required.

• Identify values, polarity, and orientation of thru-hole components reading assembly drawings.
• Follow IPC-A-610 Class 2 standards and operate specialized equipment.

Summary

Perform hand assembly work on post-surface mount circuit boards by following detailed written work instructions.

• Identify and read values, polarity, and orientation of thru-hole components.
• Identify orientation and polarity of components according to the printed circuit board for thru-hole.
• Ability to read assembly drawings to identify part numbers for assembly.
• Basic understanding of the IPC-A-610 Class 2 standards.
• Utilize specialized equipment and/or machines as specified by management.
• Assist in the training of other assemblers.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

prefer experience with production assembly process –Spectra-Tech will train as needed.

Physical/Cognitive Requirements

Work is performed in a manufacturing environment with frequent contact with others. Job requires prolonged sitting, standing and frequent bending, stooping, and stretching. Manual dexterity is crucial in the placement and handling of thru-hole components. Good eyesight is necessary for identifying components and their placement. Occasional light lifting will be required.

Waiver

This position may be filled by an applicant without meeting allqualifications with Ownership Group review and approval.

Equipment

Training will be given in the use of production equipment.

Work Environment

Job functions will be performed in and around production.

Internal Contacts

This position will interface with all areas of the manufacturing workforce and management team.
