Job summary

DRS Pivotal Power Inc. seeks an Estimator to support the Supply Chain team with vendor quotes, cost analysis, and pricing strategies for bids and proposals.

You will work closely with Business Development, Procurement, Engineering, and Finance to ensure accurate material pricing aligned with business goals. The role requires experience in cost analysis, supplier communication, and bid support, with strong Excel skills and ERP/MRP familiarity.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Finance, Engineering, or related field.
• 2–4 years experience in material estimating, procurement, pricing, or cost analysis.
• Experience obtaining and evaluating vendor quotations.
• Strong analytical skills to assess costs and make recommendations.
• Experience supporting bids, proposals, or pricing activities.
• Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Proficiency in Excel; ERP/MRP experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Obtain vendor quotations for materials for proposals, bids, and ongoing business needs.
• Analyze supplier pricing, lead times, terms, and other commercial factors to determine best value.
• Review and evaluate material costs to support bid and proposal development.
• Work with Business Development to provide pricing input during bids.
• Develop and present pricing recommendations from a bid competitiveness viewpoint.
• Compare quotes from multiple vendors and identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Assist in preparing cost estimates for materials based on drawings, BOMs, and supplier input.
• Maintain pricing records and supplier quote history for audit.
• Coordinate with Procurement, Engineering, Program Management, and Finance to validate pricing.
• Monitor market trends and supplier conditions affecting pricing.
• Identify supply risks and mitigation strategies during estimating and bidding.
• Ensure estimates and supplier data are accurate and timely.
