Job summary

Elbit Systems of America, LLC is seeking a Material Analyst to develop material estimates and budgets for business development and sole-source production efforts. You will lead material-related fact-finding and negotiation activities, and manage and audit interorganizational proposals within the material estimating function.

Responsibilities include preparing costed BOMs, issuing RFQs, evaluating supplier proposals for RFQ compliance, and coordinating with Supply Chain, Engineering, and Program

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; 3+ years of functional experience may substitute.
• Industry experience: 1–3 years preferred.
• FAR/DFARS – strong working knowledge and regulatory familiarity.

Responsibilities

• Prepare proposals in line with customer RFP and FAR/DFARS requirements.
• Ensure material estimates meet RFP due dates.
• Coordinate with Supply Chain, Engineering, and Program Office to ensure costs are covered in each estimate.
• Prepare costed Bills of Material (BOMs) for proposal efforts.
• Prepare and submit RFQs to solicit subcontractors and suppliers.
• Evaluate supplier proposals for RFQ compliance.
• Audit affiliate proposals and manage corrective actions.
• Organize material cost-supporting documentation for government regulations or customer requests.
• Support pre-award and post-award audits conducted by government auditors.
• Perform material data sweeps for certification purposes.
• Retrieve drawings and data packages from configuration management system for suppliers.
• Identify and mitigate obsolescence risks.
• Work with Material Planning for lead-time analysis.
• Establish cost estimates for development programs with Program Office and Engineering.
