Job summary

Designed Conveyor Systems (DCS) is seeking an Estimator to develop internal cost estimates, prepare bid pricing, and manage supplier relationships for material handling projects. You will focus on accurate cost modeling, RFQ documentation, and presenting cost analyses to internal teams.

The role requires 3–5 years of relevant experience, a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, and strong Excel/MS Office skills. Conveyor installation cost estimation experience is highly valued.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of relevant experience (Material Handling Industry preferred) and a Bachelor’s in Finance, Accounting, or Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Experience estimating mechanical installation costs and familiarity with conveyor installations.
• Strong Excel and MS Office skills; ability to develop new forms and tools.

Responsibilities

• Develop internal cost estimates and bid pricing.
• Create bid comparisons using data analysis and past project metrics.
• Lead RFQ documentation and supplier/sub-contractor communications.
• Develop cost models and present them to internal teams.
• Support pre-contract and operations with project costs and pricing objectives.
