Job summary

Draper is seeking a Cost Estimating Analyst 2 to support estimating and pricing activities. You will work with Engineering, Procurement, Program Management and Contracts to cost solicitations and support the proposal team through reviews.

The role involves understanding customer solicitations, gathering estimates, and ensuring accurate cost proposals while complying with FAR and TINA requirements.

Qualifications

• Ability to communicate and present cost estimating information to leadership.
• Bid on different contract types (FFP, FPIF, CPFF, CPIF, T&M).
• Excellent communication and analytical skills.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to ensure bids are completed on schedule.
• Proficient in handling multiple projects simultaneously.
• Self-starter capable of working independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Analyzes, evaluates, coordinates, prepares, and supports cost proposals to government and commercial customers
• Coordinates the collection and accumulation of cost input from cross-functional departments
• Supports consolidation and pressure-testing of basis of estimates (BoEs) across all elements of cost
• Researches and analyzes historical data, and develops cost models to support proposal efforts
• Assesses estimating techniques and historical actuals documentation
• Evaluates BOMs, selects pricing methods, and ensures quotes are recent
• Consolidates cost estimates in pricing tool / ERP system
• Generates cost volume, financial analyses, and ad hoc support as needed
• Ensures adherence to FAR, certified cost and pricing compliance (TINA), and internal policies and procedures
