Job summary

The University of Colorado Anschutz invites applications for a Medication Dispensing Nurse, LPN I in the ARTS Adult Outpatient Program. This onsite role serves Aurora, Arvada, Denver and Sheridan locations, with duties including dispensing medications, drawing blood, and maintaining patient records.

The successful candidate will have an LPN or RN license in Colorado and a high school diploma or GED, with strong communication and confidentiality skills to work in substance use disorder treatment

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid LPN or RN license with Colorado DORA.
• Experience with medication assisted treatment preferences.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications such as Methadone, Suboxone, Naltrexone, Antabuse.
• Transport narcotic medications per DEA, State and Federal rules.
• Monitor vital signs and health condition of patients.
• Draw blood for analysis/labs and administer TB tests.
• Assess adverse reactions and report to team lead.
• Handle infectious materials per policy and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned by ARTS Nursing Manager.
