Job summary

University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus seeks a Medication Dispensing Nurse, LPN III to lead the ARTS Adult Outpatient program. The role entails advanced nursing assessment, dispensing medications, and coordinating care across multiple clinics in the greater Denver area.

You will supervise lower-level nurses, train staff, and ensure compliance with DEA, state, and ARTS policies while reporting to the Nursing Program Manager. Scheduling includes early hours and weekend coverage.

Qualifications

• Two years of nursing, nursing assistance, dispensing medication, or related experience.
• Must hold a valid LPN or RN license with the Colorado DORA.
• Preferred: 3+ years of nursing and prior MAT experience.
• Be prepared to work a schedule including 5:00am to 5:30pm, Monday–Saturday.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications such as methadone, Suboxone, naltrexone, Antabuse, and extended-release injectable naltrexone.
• Transport narcotic medications per DEA/state/federal rules and ARTS policies to various locations.
• Monitor each patient's vital signs and health condition.
• Draw blood for analysis/labs and obtain results.
• Assess adverse reactions and issues relating to drug overdose, HIV, and/or HCV.
• Handle infectious materials and body fluids per policy.
• Train new team members and oversee daily workflows.
• Assign tasks and document incidents.
• Oversee proper handling of infectious materials per policy.
