Job summary

University of Colorado Anschutz seeks a Medication Dispensing Nurse, LPN I to support ARTS outpatient programs in Aurora, Arvada, Denver and Sheridan. Responsibilities include dispensing meds, drawing blood, assessing patients, and transporting narcotics while complying with safety and regulatory rules.

Ideal candidates hold an LPN/RN license, have strong communication skills, and can work early shifts with occasional travel within the greater Metro Denver area.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required and a valid LPN/RN license with Colorado DORA.
• Minimum qualifications must be met at time of hire.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications such as methadone, Suboxone, naltrexone, Antabuse and extended-release injectable naltrexone.
• Transport narcotics per DEA/state/federal rules and ARTS policies.
• Monitor vital signs and health status of patients.
• Draw blood for labs, obtain results and administer TB tests.
• Assess adverse reactions and report to team lead; handle infectious materials per policy.
