Job summary

University of Colorado Anschutz in Aurora, CO, seeks a Medication Dispensing Nurse, LPN II, to assess patients and dispense medications for substance use treatment. Responsibility includes delivering medications to off-site locations in the greater Metro Denver area and mentoring junior nurses.

The role requires an LPN or RN license in Colorado, with a schedule of 5:00am to 5:30pm, Monday through Saturday, up to 40 hours weekly. ARTS clinical sites include Aurora, Arvada, and Denver.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required.
One year of nursing or dispensing experience.
Active LPN or RN license with Colorado DORA required.

Responsibilities

Administer medications such as Methadone, Suboxone, Naltrexone, and Antabuse.
Transport narcotics per DEA/state/federal rules and ARTS procedures.
Monitor patients' vital signs and health condition.
Draw blood for labs and obtain results.
Administer TB tests.
Assess adverse reactions and overdose risks.
Perform duties as assigned by Nurse Program Manager.
Assess patients for treatment appropriateness.
Report physical examination needs to medical providers.
