Job summary

Aston Carter seeks a senior production planning professional to own the master schedule and drive the SIOP process within a large-scale manufacturing environment in Riverside, CA. This on-site role focuses on balancing capacity, inventory, and lead times to ensure reliable customer deliveries.

You will collaborate across Sales, Engineering, Supply Chain, Materials, Production, Quality, and Finance while advancing ERP data discipline and planning improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in a related field.
• 6+ years of production planning, scheduling, capacity planning, or master scheduling experience.
• Experience in automotive or aerospace manufacturing environments.
• Strong ERP knowledge and data-driven planning abilities.

Responsibilities

• Own and manage the master production schedule aligning backlog, forecasts, capacity, material availability, and delivery commitments.
• Lead the SIOP process including demand and capacity assumptions and scenario recommendations.
• Obtain leadership approval for major trade-offs and align to a single integrated plan.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Engineering, Supply Chain, Materials, Production, Quality, and Finance.
• Develop production ramp scenarios defining mix, labor, capacity, and delivery impacts.
• Establish schedule approval rules and manage changes within delegated authority.
• Escalate conflicts affecting commitments with recommended options to Operations leadership.
• Ensure scheduling activities comply with safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.
• Own the Clear-to-Build process ensuring configuration approvals, BOMs, drawings, material availability, and tooling are in place.
• Implement readiness signoffs from responsible functions before release.
• Hold releases when conditions are not met with documented risks and recovery actions.
• Translate master schedule into detailed work-center plans for smooth production flow.
• Engage with Manufacturing leadership on progress, constraints, and plan adjustments.
• Verify planning inputs with Engineering and Procurement and drive timely resolution to prevent shortages.
• Establish ERP planning data standards and validation routines with responsible functions.
