Job summary

Pennsy Supply Inc in the United States seeks a skilled screed operator to control asphalt paving machines and ensure proper depth, grade and yield on highways and parking lots.

You will work with a paving crew, adhere to MSHA/OSHA/DOT safety rules, and adjust screed height/angle to achieve even distribution. A high school diploma and DOT compliance are required; drug screen and background check are mandated.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent is required.
• Experience in construction/paving preferred.
• Must pass drug screen, background check and DOT physical.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to safety rules (MSHA/OSHA/DOT) and Pennsy Supply, Inc.
• Conduct daily safety assignments and area inspections.
• Maintain depth, grade and yield of asphalt.
• Operate free floating screed to level hot mix.
• Adjust screed height and angle for even distribution.
• Collaborate with paving crew for proper asphalt spread.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
