Job summary

Brothers PKS Paving LLC is seeking a seasoned Screed Operator to run the screed on asphalt paving operations. You will ensure proper depth, grade, and mat quality while coordinating with the paver operator and crew.

The role requires 5+ years of paver screed experience, familiarity with CAT/Carlson systems, and dedication to safety and productivity on DOT projects. CDL preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience operating asphalt paver screeds on commercial or DOT projects.
• Proficient with CAT and Carlson screeds and adaptable to other makes.
• Strong understanding of grades, slopes, cross-slope control and paving electronics.
• Familiar with Moba/Topcon/Leica grade control systems preferred.
• Ability to read construction plans and comply with project specs.

Responsibilities

• Operate, monitor, and adjust the screed to achieve proper depth, grade, and mat texture.
• Control slope, crown, and joint quality for smooth pavement finish.
• Maintain equipment and report deficiencies or hazards immediately.
• Coordinate with Paver Operator, Foreman, and crew for efficient production.
• Follow safety procedures and DOT/project quality standards.
