Job summary

Pennsy Supply is seeking a Construction Screed Person in Harrisburg, PA to operate the asphalt paving screed and help deliver high-quality paving projects. This is a safety‑critical role requiring attention to depth, grade and even distribution of hot mix.

Responsibilities include following MSHA/OSHA/DOT rules, performing pre-shift checks, and collaborating with the paving crew to ensure proper screed height, alignment and material placement across roads, parking lots and related surfaces.

Qualifications

• Must follow MSHA/OSHA/DOT safety rules and Pennsy Supply procedures.
• Experience operating a screed in asphalt paving operations is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to and follow all safety rules and regulations of MSHA/OSHA/DOT and Pennsy Supply, Inc.
• Conduct daily safety assignments (area inspections, pre-shifts, JSA's, TRACK, etc.).
• Maintain depth, grade and yield of asphalt.
• Operate free floating screed to level hot mix to the right thickness of evenness.
• Ability to see differences in grade.
• Collaborating with the paving crew for even asphalt distribution
• Adjusting the screed height and angle to ensure proper distribution
• Other duties as assigned.
