You will operate the screed on an asphalt paving machine to ensure a smooth, even surface and work with the crew to meet project specs. The role requires the ability to perform physically demanding tasks, attention to detail, and flexibility to work daytime or nighttime shifts based on project demands.

Responsibilities

• Operate the screed on an asphalt paving machine to achieve the desired thickness and smoothness of asphalt surfaces.

• Work closely with the paving crew to ensure efficient and effective paving operations.
• Perform routine maintenance and inspections on the screed and paving machine.
• Adhere to safety protocols and ensure the safety of other employees and the public.
• Work in various environmental conditions, including hot surfaces and uneven terrain.
