Job summary

Turner Mining Group seeks an experienced Paving Screed Operator to run the screed on an asphalt paving machine, ensuring a smooth, even, and properly compacted surface on site in Bowmansville, PA. You will adjust screed settings, monitor material temperature, coordinate with the paving crew, and perform routine checks to meet project specs and safety standards.

The role requires attention to detail, ability to work outdoors in varying weather, and a focus on quality, safety, and communication

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 2+ years of experience operating paving equipment, specifically screeds.
• Strong understanding of asphalt paving processes and materials.
• Ability to read grade stakes, blueprints, and layout drawings.
• Valid driver’s license (CDL preferred but not required).

Responsibilities

• Operate the screed controls on an asphalt paver to regulate depth, width, and smoothness of the asphalt mat.
• Adjust screed settings to maintain proper grade, slope, and crown according to project plans.
• Monitor asphalt material flow and temperature to ensure consistent paving quality.
