Job summary

Roche seeks a Field Engineering Specialist – Mass Spectrometry to service cobas i601 systems across laboratories in New Jersey. You will perform hands-on repairs, preventive maintenance, calibration, and installation, collaborating with National Field Engineering Specialists on escalations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma and 2 years of technical school or equivalent military training or equivalent work experience

Responsibilities

• Deliver Regional Field Engineering Support: service, repair, calibrate, and install cobas i601 systems and automation in customer labs within territory
• Maintain specialized mass spec hardware including UHV pumps and ESI/APCI sources
• Perform preventive maintenance, rebuild oil vacuum pumps, clean ion sources and capillaries
• Diagnose mechanical, electronic, software, and gas/fluidic failures using TIC and mass spectra
• Collaborate with customers and FAS teams on workflows and best practices
• Maintain service documentation in Roche CRM and participate in on-call rotations
• Travel within territory, including overnight stays, as required
