Job summary

Roche is seeking a Field Engineering Specialist - Mass Spectrometry to service cobas i601 systems across laboratories throughout New Jersey.

You will perform hands-on maintenance, installations, and basic workflow support, collaborating with National Field Engineering Specialists on escalations and major accounts. Travel is expected, and you will act as a primary technical contact for service events.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in field service or maintenance of analytical instruments.
• Willing to travel up to 50%+ within New Jersey region.
• Strong mechanical vs. software troubleshooting skills.
• Training or certification as defined by RD Services Leadership.

Responsibilities

• Provide field engineering support and installation of cobas i601 systems across customer laboratories in New Jersey.
• Perform preventive maintenance and hardware repairs on mass spectrometry hardware.
• Analyze TICs and mass spectra data to diagnose issues and optimize performance.
• Maintain service documentation in Roche’s CRM system and participate in on-call rotations.
